For most of my life, relationships felt unsafe.
Not because I didn’t care.
Not because I lacked insight.
But because my nervous system had learned to survive, not connect.
I spent nearly 15 years in talk therapy trying to understand my past.
It helped me make sense of my story —
but it didn’t teach my body how to stay calm in the moments that mattered.
The real shift happened when I stopped trying to process my pain
and started learning how to regulate my nervous system.
